Braided

Hi everyone,

I saw a video at stampininperspective  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPZZh_3D_EM and decided to give it a try. Its called a braided card and I found it very easy to make. The card base is SU pacific point cut at 5.5 x 8.5 scored at 4.25. I got the template from Kims blog. She has the link in her youtube subscription.

I printed the template and followed the directions in the video. I then took a piece of neenah cs and embossed it with a daisy folder in my big shot. I used the SU stamp set called watercolor wonder. I love this set. I stamped the solid piece in the background using daffodil delight, old olive and the repeated with daffodil delight. I then took one of the flower stamps and stamped it with black memento ink. The hello stamp is from the dollar bin at Micheal s. I added some wink of stella pen on the flowers but it doesn't show up in the photo. It really looks pretty in real life. I added a bow using MS ribbon and then one silver and one gold sequin. I really like the braided look and will do this again in other cards. I then used a corner punch on the corners. I hope this card will give you some inspiration.

I will enter this card into these challenges.

I then added a black layer under the image.  I added the sky ink in the water area and used SU background to give the little added dots. I also added some the the sky behind her. I will add this card into  these challenges.

Hi everyone,

I used SU square lattice embossing on the background. I adhered the image with tombow glue. The bird was stamped and punched with MS combination stamp and punch set. The fence was also a MS border punch. I used my score board and scored every half inch. It doesn't show in the photo. I should have added some distress ink.The sentiment came from Pink by Design stamp set. I hope you have gotten some inspiration from this card. I will add this into this challenge.

Hi everyone,

Our sponsor this week at 613 Avenue Create is Rick St Dennis. I am using his cute digi called 20 winks. It was printed onto neenah cs and I cut the image using a spellbinders shape die. I then chalked the background using SU chalks. Once I did that I coloured the image with copic markers. E00,000,11,35,37, B12,14, V12, YG 61,63, N2,4,6. I had decided I wanted to make a center fold card for this one using neeneah cs. The sea blue DSP is DCWV pad, and the pink background was in my stash.I just added a bit of the R81 to bring out more of the pink and help it blend together. I used the SU small banner punch to cute the banners and added some sequins. I then added two more banners and glued some flowers on them. The ribbon is from MS and it just matched so perfectly. When it was finished it was still missing something so I added copic marker R81 around the edge of the die cut to bring it all together. Finally I added some wink of stella.  I hope you have enjoyed this card and find some inspiration from the card.

I will add this card into these challenges

Hi everyone,

Starting a new challenge at the Fairy's challenge blog. Our second sponsor is Time For Tea Designs. I printed the image onto neenah cs and the used the spellbinders labels 6 die to cut the image out. I also cut recollections black to layer with the image. I have used copic markers to colour in the image. E00,000,21,31,35,51, YR21,24, Y21, R20,83, YG63, W1,3. I used an embossing folder called geometric rings on the base of the card with  SU daffodil cs. I added the black layer with dimensional and the image onto the black. I had some black ribbon with silver so I added a piece to the top and the bottom. I added the bow on the top right. I punched our a small butterfly using the MS punch. I then used the wink of stella pen and went around both frame edges, the flowers, butterfly and the shoes. I grounded her with W1,3 copic markers. Last I used a few of the sequins. I hope you have enjoyed this card and found something that will inspire you.

HI everyone,

Today is the start of another challenge at The Fairy's Blog. Our sponsor is Whoopsi  Daisy. I am using this cute coloured image. I did add copic Y21 to her hair. It was just a bit too lite for me. I also added wink of stella on her hair elastic and her shoes. I added copic W1,W3 to ground her so she wasn't' dancing on air. I die cut around the image with spellbinders Orchard Harvest tags set. Then I cut a spellbinders to layer under the image called Crown Ovals. The recollections turquoise paper is a shimmery stack that was on sale at Micheal's. It was a variety pack and I loved the shimmer it had. I had just enough of MS ribbon left to add a small bow.

The cs is SU soft sky. I then took a 5.25 x 4.25 piece of neenah cs and and did a reverse letter press with sizzix twizzel embossing  folder. I brayed soft sky in on the flat surface of the folder. I added my paper and ran it through the big shot. It just looks so beautiful. Using dimentional dots I then added my image on top. It took very little time to make this card. It is just so simple and sweet. I hope you have enjoyed this card and found some inspiration from the card.

Aquarius Tilda

Hi everyone,

I started this card last week but just didn't have the time to finish it until tonight. I am pleased with the results. She is stamped onto neenah cs and colored with copic markers. E00,000,11,31,35,51, B12,14,26, W1,3. The back ground of the image was masked and then I chalked with SU bashful blue chalk. I then took  a honey comb stencil to add a bit of a darker blue. It just looks like circles but I like it any way. I added some water flicks with my hand to set the chalk. The water jug was coloured with a sharpie blue metallic. It covered the flowers that were on the just so I added x markes over it in sukura white pen to bring in a design. Now at least I know to colour around the designs. I added some pearls and sequins around the image. And then layered it onto a piece of black cs from scrap pieces. I think it is recollections cs. I decided to add some lashes on Tilda and I love it.

The card base is neenah cs and I used the cuttlebug swiss dots folder to emboss the front of the card. I ended up covering most of the embossing up. The DSP is from DCWV kids stack. I used a MS border punch on the DSP for more interest.   I cut 2 black corners pieces for the top left and the bottom right using quik kuts corner die. I added some blue ribbon from SU  and made a bow. I popped the image up with foam dimensional.

The flowers are from my stash. They were white and I spray painted them with some alcohol mixed with a blue colour. I used a SU flower blossoms punch for the leaves. At the last minute I added the feathers. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things had written sentiments. The sentiment was Dreams can come true. I just wanted the dreams so I took some tape and covered the rest of the sentiment before inking the stamp. I then used a black sharpie to draw a black line around the image and then some faux stitching across the top and bottom of the card. I used wink of stella pen on the corners water and the jug. I also added it around the image frame. It does not show as much as I had hoped in the photo but it is beautiful in real life.

I hope you enjoy my card and find some inspiration from it.

I will add this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

My name is Carol and my blog is Happy Expressions. It's my turn to share with you again this week at She's A Sassy Lady. Thank you for having me again this week Sheila.

I am sharing this adorable card I made from the images of Deedee's Digis. This digi is called "no it's not a tie." The card base is SU pacific point cs. The images were printed onto neenah cs. I cut two small stripes for more interest and added them to the top and bottom of the card. The banner is the SU petite banner  punch using real red cs and the DSP that was in the scrap box. (yes I realize the writing is upside down). I didn't change it encase I ripped the card. It will be a conversation piece. lol!

I decided to make it a one layer card. What I did was go into MS word and added the digi image. I then used a sq sized at 5.5x4.25. I would hover over the image just until I could make sure I had the image centered where I wanted it. Then I deleted the sq. I left the other side blank so I could fold my card in half. I did the same for the inside of the card to center the sentiment. I then cut it down to 5.25x4 and centered on the inside of the card. I have a wood banner stamp from the dollar store and stamped that above the sentiment. I colored them in with copic markers. B26, R24,YG67,Y13. I added some wink of stella and sequins to finish off the card. I hope you have enjoyed this card and it has given you some inspiration.

I will enter this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

I am really pleased and honored to be asked as a guest designer on Through The Craft Room Door. I am using this cute stamp from Sandy Huggett sandyssamples stamp. I printed the image onto neeneah card stock and cut it out with Shapez frames 2. I colored the image background with SU chalks. The image was colored with copic markers. YG61,63, Y23,26, R 20,22,24. The card base is neenah cs and the green layer is from recollections habitat stack. The pink layer is from Ki pad and they were both cut from spellbinders grand scalloped rectangles. The top two layers were added with dimentional foam. The only embellishments added were the pearls. I didn't think it needed anything else.

Thank you for stopping by, have a blessed and happy day!

Emmilou Boo

Hi everyone,

We had a couple of very hot days and today it is rainy and cool again. I have to say I rather like it a bit cooler than too hot. I do like the nicer days so I can do my walk. On to my card. I tried to make a video of this card but my camera kept cutting out. So it wasn't much of a video. I will try again.

My card base is neenah white cs that I cut with SU framelet frames. The second cut next to the large on I cut the DSP from GDS paper pad. I used distress ink around the edges. The topper is a precoloured page that I printed from a Joanna Sheen CD that I have. I needed it to have more tourquise in it so I coloured the ribbon on the hat, the trim around the inside border and the chair cushions. This adorable stamp is called Emmilou Boo Inchworm by Lacy Sunshine. I printed it onto neenah cs and colored with copic markers. E00,000,11,31,35,51, R20,81,83,85, BG10,11,13,15, YG63. I popped her onto the card using foam dimentional's from SU. The Hi There sentiment is from My Favorite Things handwritten words. I added wink of stella on the ribbon on the hat, border around the image, hair bow, buttons and the ribbons on her PJ bottoms.

I will add this card into this challenge.

Hi everyone,

The Fairys Challenge has two sponsors this week. This adorable stamp is from Sami Stamps. I printed it onto neenah cs and water coloured it with distress markers apricot 1,2, honeycomb 1,2,3, picket fence. The leaves were coloured in mowed lawn. I used SU pocket silhouette stamp set for the small leaves in the background using old olive ink. I also chalked the background with SU chalks. pink, blue, orange. I then fussy cut the image out and added it onto another layer of the same image and popped it up with dimensional foam squares.  I had some wire that I had picked up from Micheals store and used it for the tree branch. The sentiment is from my favorite things hand written stamp set. I stamped it onto neenah cs and embossed it with pewter embossing powder. I coloured three white flowers with the apricot distress markers added glue on the top of them and added MS glitter. The pearls and the silver sequins were then added .  My card base is neenah cs. The DSP brown and music note were from DCWV stack. I used to water colour all the time and I got away from using it when I purchaced some copic markers. I love my markers. I don't have a ton but what I do have works for me. It is fun to go back to using some of my favorite techniques. I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and get inspired by doing a favorite technique you like to do.

I will enter this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

There is another challenge starting at The Fairy's Blog today. Our sponsor is Sami Stamps. I have used this beautiful stamp that I will call Beautiful hair. I did have fun with this image . The card base is neenah cs and the DSP is DCWV sweet stack. Three strips were cut at 1.5 in strips and glued to the base. I printed the image onto neenah cs and cut it out with a spellbinders die. The background is coloured with SU chalks. bashful blue, mellow moss, pretty in pink. The image is coloured with copic markers. E00,000,11,31,33,35,37, R20,81, V01,12. I added a butterfly to the top left corner and added 3 pearls in the center. Pearls were also added into the girls hair. I took some flowers from my stash and added them to the right side. The white, yellow flower and the leaves were cut with the cricut and flower shoppe cartridge. I then rolled them to make the flowers. The small leaves are from MS leaves border punch using SU old olive paper. I added some glitter to the butterfly and the flowers. I hope you enjoyed my creation and that it gave you some inspiration to try something new.

I will enter this card into these challenges.
