Gingerbread Men Shaker

Hi everyone,

My name is Carol and you can find my blog here at Happy Expressions. It's my turn to share a project with you all here at She's A Sassy Lady. Thanks for having join you Sheila.

I have decided to share with you a really easy shaker card. The card base is staples vanilla cs. I added a few snowflakes around the edges with a Seasons Greetings sentiment and embossed them with winter snow embossing powder. I bought the embossing powder from Micheal's. I am sorry the embossing does't show like I hoped it would. I chose a really cute DSP from a MS border self adhesive pad. I cut the image at 2.75 x 2.75 inches. I added some dimentional tape around the square. I then added some small confetti paper pieces I have made from a MS border punch. I also have the border to use on another project. I also added some silver stars and sequins in the shaker.

For the frame around the shaker I used a sizzix scalloped square die to cut the frame. I then took my exacto knife and cute the inside piece for the window. If you have a cutting machine it would make this step very easy. I did it this way encase some of you didn't have a cutting machine. I added the frame over the plastic sheet (cut from the piece of plastic our cricut cartridges come in. The banners are from the same MS pad. I added the banners to the top left of the card. Then added a stripe of dimensional foam on the right side of the card and glue on the left so they would be the same height. I cut a few more of the colored snowflakes with a SU circle punch. I took a red pen and doodled around the card edge.I put some wink of stella on the front of the frame and around the edge of the border. I had some gold star stickers that I used to finish off the card. I hope you have all enjoyed my small tutorial and find some inspiration from it.

Thank you all for dropping by, Have a blessed and happy day!

Hi everyone,

I was looking through my stamps and came across this cute one from The East Wing Stamps. I printed it onto Acrylic paint pad and coloured it with watercolours using distressed ink and markers.  walnut stain, tea die, vintage photo, spiced marmalade, homey comb, picket fence, blue, pink. The background of the image was SU chalk. The card base is SU bashful blue cut using the sizzix circle die. The DSP is DCWV paper stack and also cut with a larger circle die. I used SU close to cocoa marker to add dash lines around both of the circles. Wink of stella was used on the butterfly and sparkle in her eyes. I then added three silver sequins. I hope you have enjoyed this card and I do hope it gave you some inspiration.

I will add this card into this challenge.

The base card is staples vanilla cs, The green layer is SU wild wasabi and the DSP is from a MS stack and then I used a border punch of the top and bottom of the cs. I added some pearls and called it done. I did try to put a bow but it just didn't look right so I took it off. Hi everyone,

We have another challenge this week at 613 Ave create using Guylou's Stamps. I just seem to be using round shape cards this past few weeks. Here is another one. I used recollections kraft paper and cut two circles out with quick kut circle die. I then found a pretty paper with circles that I liked from studio G pad and cut it with the circle also. I printed the bear onto neenah white cs and colored it with copic - 37,35,31,N8,6,4,2,0, B12,14. Y23. I used the blue jean marker to make the strips in the vest and hat. chrome blue jeans markers. I used a chevron stamp by Amy tangerine collection at the bottom of the card using SU close to cocoa ink.  The stamp doesn't seem to have any name that I  can see. The arrow stamp is from SU. I used SU little labels punch for the sentiment. The stamps was also from SU tiny tags stamps. I cut three small blue dots using the 1/4" circle punch from a scrap. I then glued them onto the card and added small clear dots. I know they have a name but can't think of it at the moment. It just needed a bit more so I took the close to cocoa marker and added dash lines on the outer circle.

I will enter this card into these challenges

Hi everyone,

This cute card is from All Dressed Up Stamps. It was a free on from their site and I knew I just had to make a card using it. It is just so super cute. I printed it onto neenah cs then cut it out with a shapez die frames 5. The card base is neenah cs and theDSP layer is from the DCWV pet pad. I colored the image with copic markers. E31,33,35, R20.22.24, N0. I decided the eyes needed to be larger so I took a copic liner and colored them in bigger. I added some white to the eyes. I used the SU little punches and made the flower. For the flower center I used the smallest hole punch, lost it a few times but managed finally to glue it to the center of the flower. I will add this card into these challenges.

our sponsor this week at the Fairy;s challenge blog is Stitchy Bears Digital Outlet stamps. I am using this beautuful stamp of a mother holding her baby. I have used neenah cs for the base of the card.  I used SU enfrance background stamp over the front inked with bashful blue. I then took The SU stem & silhouette wheel stamp and went over the background down the left side of the card aslo useing bashful blue. I took the bashful blue marker and added a few solid parts. For more texture on the card I took some vanilla netting and added it over the background. I added a piece of white neenah cs that has been embossed with the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder over the netting. I had tried to used liquid glue to adhere the embossed piece but it wouldn't stick so I added dimensional foam behind it. I added a smaller piece of bashful blue cs with the left corner folded over and added a rhinestone. The image was then added to the blue. I printed it onto neenah cs and colored it with copic markers. E00,000,21, N6,4, B 12,14. Last I used SU bashful blue satin ribbon made into a bow. I will enter this card into these challenges.

Easter Chicks

Hi everyone,

I was asked to be a guest designer for Barnmix You can view this card on the the Barnmix blog.   High Tea Designs is the sponsor. I am using this printable Easter page. I printed it onto neenah cs and used K&K company DSP from a seasonal stack. I added ribbon that I used copic marker R83 to add more color to it. Around the oval chicks I added some liquid pearls. I cut the two little eggs and added liquid pearls then added copics R83 and B14. I then added some wink of stella glitter to the eggs. I couldn't get the shine to show in the photo but it looks great. I decided I needed to add R83 to the pink tulip to bring it together. I made a boo boo on the top by the ribbon so I added a small heart using the MS heart cluster punch. I then added the Easter tag also from the print page.

I will add this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

This cute image is from Deedee's Digis called Under Your Wing. This is the progressive stamp in this months challenge. I then imported the maple pre colored maple leaf x2 and added them to the circle. I then printed it onto neenah cs and colored the owls with copic markers. E37,35,31, Y23. I cut two pieces of kraft circles and scored .25 on one of them. I then glued them together to make the card. I added the owl topper I had just finished . I added a bow to the top of the card with some flowers from my stash. I added MS leaves border punch to the stem that the owls were standing on. I added some glitter to the flowers and wink of stella to the leaves. I added two of the sentiments on the inside of the card.

Balloon Birthday Fairy

Hi everyone,

I like the sketch on Mojo Monday today so this is the card I came up with. The card base is 4x6 neenah cs. I usually do 4.25x5.5 but this piece worked out great as it was. I used a DSP from Ki Memories paper pad. The smaller DSP is DCWV pad. I used a pre printed image from Crafters Companion CD. I did use some copic markers to darken the image to match the papers a bit more. I used the MS balloon paper punch for the red balloon and its the back side of the DCWV pad from the left overs.   The purple balloon is a piece of scrap that was on my desk and  the kraft balloon is the back side of the ki Mamories pad. I added SU white ribbon. The sentiment is from Pink by Design and stamped onto a strip of neenah cs using SU soft suede ink. The small heart was punched out and added to the smallest balloon. The two bottom balloons were cut using quik kut oval die. I used SU owl punch  to punch the bottoms of the balloon using the owl feet. I then felt like it needed some stitching to finish it off.

I will enter this card into these challenges

Make a Wish

aPin It
Hi everyone,

613 Ave Create has a new challenge starting and I hope you will join us in the challenge. One of our sponsors this week is The Paper Shelter. I have used this cute fairy called Make a Wish. The card base is neenah cs cut at 4x4 /folded in half and then the top was folded in half again. I have printed the pre colored image onto neenah cs,  added many layers and fussy all cut the pieces to make a 3D image. I used my scissors and cut small strips into the wings to make it look more like a feather. I added some wink of stella on the card, after all fairy's need to have glitter. On the bottom of the easel card I used a strip of the needah cs and added some gold stickers on the side. The sentiment is form Pink by design stamps. I had some gold glitter paper so I used it with an old dragon fly punch and added it on the right side of the sentiment. The was a small piece left in her hair so I used a small heart punch and added that to the left side of the sentiment.

I will add this card into these challenges.
